Client Snapshot
Wedgeview Music is a creative studio specializing in audio and video production under the Wedgeview Music Enterprises umbrella. They wanted a site that reflects their creative identity, presents their portfolio elegantly, and handles e-commerce plus branching microsites for each production project.
The Challenge
Wedgeview approached us with several needs:
- A cohesive brand identity that matches their mood: professional, artistic, modern.
- A custom website that looks bespoke and matches their creative vision; they didn’t want templated or generic design.
- An e-commerce system to sell products or services (merch, audio, video, etc.), with WooCommerce capabilities.
- Branching or subsidiary sites (“branch sites”) so that each production or division could have its own site/section with its own branding, but under the Wedgeview umbrella.
- Easy content management: Wedgeview wanted to be able to update content, portfolios, products by themselves, without always going through a developer.
- Optimized for SEO, performance, responsive design, good UX for audio/video display plus product sales.
Our Solution
To meet all these needs, Jacobs Development delivered:
- Branding & Visual Identity
We reimagined the brand identity including logo, typography, colour palette, and visual design guidelines. The goal was creativity, clarity, and adaptability — something that works both for production portfolios and product sales. - Webflow Design + Prototyping
We used Webflow to design the site layout, visuals, and user flows. This allowed us to create custom interactions, tailor the creative and audio/video display style, and refine the user interface with high fidelity mockups before development. - WooCommerce e-commerce Integration
For product sales, we built a WooCommerce system. Products could be added, managed, payments processed, etc., in a way that integrates smoothly with the rest of the site’s design and user experience. - Branching Production Sites
We set up “branch” or subsidiary sites/sub-sections that allow each production or sub-brand under Wedgeview to have its own mini-site or branded section. These share some design elements but maintain distinct identity per production. - Webflow → WordPress Export
After designing and prototyping in Webflow, we exported the site’s front end code (raw HTML/CSS/JS) and published it on WordPress. That gives the client the best of both worlds: visual design flexibility, clean interactions and custom design from Webflow, and the content management, plugin eco-system, and SEO advantages of WordPress. - Responsive & Performance Focus
The website was made to work well across devices, with optimized media (audio & video), fast loading pages, and attention to UX for portfolio browsing and product purchasing.
Outcomes & Results
- Cohesive Brand Presence — Wedgeview Music now has a visual identity that feels professional, creative, and consistent across all sections and production branches.
- Functioning E-commerce — Products/services are sellable via WooCommerce, with smooth checkout, product listing, and category handling.
- User Empowerment — Wedgeview can now manage content, add new productions, update product info, etc., via WordPress backed by the designs from Webflow.
